Autologous stem cell-based therapy - cell or tissue transplantation in which the donor's provides the original source of cells as the basis for the transplant.

Nuclear reprogramming - the induction of changes in gene activity that result in a comprehensive transformation of cellular phenotype. 

Transdifferentiation (metaplasia) - the change of a differentiated cell into another unique differentiated cell.

Schwann cells - the principle glial cells of the peripheral nervous system that function to support neurons in a myelinating and non-myelinating fashion.

Progenitor/stem like cells (pSLC) - reprogrammed Schwann cells.
